Who We Are and What We Do

We are a group of student athletes whose passion for volleyball drives us to build a community where others can share our love for the sport. While the club volleyball team at UW has been around for many years, we like to think the current situation is the first of its kind. After spending the past two years rebuilding the club, in terms of both leadership and players, we have finally come to an apex in our development. This past October, we had more than 120 women come out to participate in open gyms and tryouts, and now have three full teams of 12-20 girls each, compared to one team of 11 just two short years ago.

This year, we want to make another huge leap and send our top competitive team to nationals in Kansas City! The nationals tournament takes place every year, but for us, it has always been out of reach, due to the funneling of our funds and efforts into building the club. Last year, our A team won 2/5 regional tournaments, and came in 2nd place at the other 3. In this upcoming season, our goal is to go 5/5 and win all of our tournaments, paving our way to success at nationals.

Why We Need Your Help

Running a club is expensive, and going to nationals is not feasible with our budget. We never want to limit athletes with the cost of dues, so rather than up the price of participation for any team, we are turning to the world around us to help us move towards our goal.

"But What Do I Get Out of it?"

Besides that warm fuzzy feeling for donating to a good cause, we encourage you to reach out to us and let us know what you want out of it! If you'd like to stay in the loop about our season, including tournaments, open gyms, fundraisers, etc, shoot us an email! If you have a company and want to partner with us, or if you just have more ideas that you would like to help us incorporate, we would love to hear from you. At the end of the day, we are reaching out to build relationships and to share our vision and love for the sport. We absolutely want to speak with those who are willing to help us reach our lofty goals, including answering questions or just hearing what donating means to you. Last but not least, you get to know that you are pulling for an incredible experience for an incredible group of young women who are willing to put their all into their passion, and if that isn't a worthwhile warm fuzzy feeling, well, then what really is?

Update After First Tournament

Published on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017 at 10:01 PM (PST)

Exciting News! Both our A and B team brought fierce competition to the first league tournament of the season, Holiday Hustle. The UW A team came in first place, and the B team took 3rd! We are very excited about the prospects for the rest of the season, and hope to finish off our fundraising campaign as strongly as we did the tournament. We are just $700 from reaching our goal! Thanks for all of the continual support.
